Candles Lighted
Is Shabbat again.
How many ones
I have done
And How many will do
To have you here
Oh soul of my soul?
The Holy One said once
Light the candles
At Shabbat dusk
And blessings will see
At the next dawn,
Bless be you, bless be me
Oh soul of my soul!
But Blessed we will be
When finally reunited
In our sacred place,
Like so many times
In previous lives,
To light the candles
And sing the prayers
On Shabbat day!
